Golfers: Round 1 @ Heron Lake Golf Club
Heron Lake Golf Club (also known as Dam Vac Golf and Country Club), is located just 45 kilometers from Hanoi city, in Vinh Phuc province. This is an 18-hole masterpiece of Pacific Coast Design – the same architect as the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand.
True to its name, Heron Lake Golf Club is set amidst wildlife areas, bringing a chance for golfers to witness the native heron birds during their rounds. Water hazards appear on most holes with extensive greenside bunkers adding more challenges to the game. Numerous evergreen and palm trees provide not only a breathtaking landscape but also a challenge to the mental abilities of golfers.
Non-golfers: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc
- 8.00: Drive you to Hoa Lu – Tam Coc in Ninh Binh province.
- 10.30: Visit the Dinh King and Le King temples, discovering the epic tales of these two Kings in the Chinese Wars in the 10th century.
- Following that, we travel to Tam Coc (10 km away from Hoa Lu).
- Having lunch at a local restaurant.
- After lunch, you will board a bamboo boat rowed by locals down the Hoang Long River to explore Tam Coc (three caverns) along the route and enjoy a momentary respite from the stifling summer sun. It takes around two hours to go up and down the river, and along the trip, you may see local fishermen, village life along the river, and, of course, Tam Coc’s famed limestone karst structures.
- Then, enjoy a 1-hour tour of actual communities and stunning scenery by bicycle.
- 16.30: Finally, you will be on the coast for a transfer back to Hanoi

Day 3: Golf day
Golfers: Round 2 @ Thanh Lanh Golf Club
Thanh Lanh Golf Club, or Serena Valley Resort & Golf Club, also located in Vinh Phuc province, is an 18-hole design by Sir Nick Faldo, who skillfully incorporated the natural terrain of the lake and mountain in a layout.
Here, you can experience numerous distinct sections, from hillside to links-style golf. Spreading over 7,000 yards, Thanh Lanh Golf Club includes 5 sets of tees with the finishing hole being the most striking. You will play along the lake’s shoreline with a gorgeous mountain backdrop.
Thanh Lanh Golf Club is considered one of the most challenging golf courses in North Vietnam.
Non-golfers: Hanoi City Tour
- 8:30 After enjoying your breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up to start a city tour. The first stop is the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where you can learn more about the Resting place of the Great President Ho Chi Minh. Then, you will visit One Pillar Pagoda and the final stop is Literature Temple which was Vietnam’s first university when it opened in the 1600s.
- Lunch will be served in one of the famous restaurants in Hanoi.
- In the afternoon, visit Hoa Lo Prison which was once known as “Hanoi Hilton”. Take a traditional cyclo cycle about the famed Old Quarter, stopping at Dong Xuan market and watching a water puppet show before dinner.
- Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 4: Hanoi – Halong Bay
Golfers: Round 3 @ FLC Golf Club Halong
Dream of playing golf amidst the background of Ha Long Bay, the FLC Ha Long Bay Golf Club is a ca n’t-miss destination. This is one of the newest and most high-qualified golf courses in Vietnam with a scenic view over the magnificent limestone karsts of Ha Long Bay.
This 18-hole par 71 course features Paspalum turf from tees to greens, ensuring a wonderful course layout for every shot.
There are 4 holes directly facing Ha Long Bay, while others play around valleys and cliffs. The 8th and 12th are considered the most picturesque ones and are often compared to the breathtaking 7th hole at Pebble Beach Golf Club in California.
Non-golfers: Day Cruise on Ha Long Bay
-7.00: We depart to Ha Long Bay from Hanoi
-10:00: Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Harbor, you will check in and get on board the cruise then start a trip to discover the World Heritage.
-10:30: Enjoy a welcome drink. The cruise departs from Tuan Chau Harbor for a joyful journey to discover the beauty of the world heritage Ha Long Bay. Along the way, you will have a chance to pass through the grandeur of the legendary bay with thousands of limestone islands such as Dog Rock, Duck Rock, and especially Thumb Rock – a beautiful limestone islet rising from sea water in the shape of a giant thumb. Mother Nature has put Thumb Rock here to send a message of goodness to every passenger cruising in the ancient bay.
12:00: Have a huge buffet lunch with a variety of dishes including seafood and Vietnamese traditional food, like fresh spring rolls, etc.
-13:00: Stop at Bo Hon Island. Our tour guide will take you to Sung Sot Cave/Surprising Cave, the largest and the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay. After about 200 steps under the forest canopy, the entrance of the cave shows up. A paradise appears in front of you. You will discover the cave in about 45 minutes before getting back to the cruise (For other tourists who can’t walk much, you can stay on the cruise, chilling out on the sundeck).
-14:00: Say goodbye to Sung Sot Cave, and cruise heads to Luon Cave. In this area, it’s time for you to heat up with kayaking (about 30 minutes kayaking). You can also opt for a swimming session (if the weather allows) to fully indulge yourself in the pristine clear water of Ha Long Bay.
-15:00: Stop at Titov Island. On this small island, you can climb halfway up the mountain to enjoy a panoramic view of Ha Long Bay. Looking down from high above gives you a wonderful sensation; at the same time offers you a spectacular view of every corner of the bay.
-16:00: After that, you will get back to cruise and ready for our Sunset Party. Vietnamese tea, fresh fruits, and snacks will be served when you’re relaxing on the sundeck or in the Jacuzzi.
On the way back, the cruise will pass by the Hoa Cuong area, one of the most beautiful spots in the bay.
-17:30-18:00: Arrive in Tuan Chau port. End of the trip.

Day 5: Departure
Transfers from Ha Long to Noi Bai Airport for departure home or to post-tour destination.
FORMAT
Entry is open to all male and female golfers over the age of 35 with an official handicap. All golfers play a 54-hole single stableford event, while “A” grade golfers are eligible to compete for the best stroke / gross.

You are guaranteed to play with golfers your age and standard:
- 35-55 (max. h’cap 30 men; 40 ladies)
- 56-65 (max. h’cap 30 men; 40 ladies)
- 66+ (max. h’cap 36 men; 45 ladies)
In partnership with GOLF Link (Australia) and International Golf Associations, the tournament committee will review the 6-month playing history of all entrants. The tournament committee reserves the right to amend player handicaps.
Pace of Play
For the enjoyment of all players, field sizes will be limited and marshalls will monitor the pace of play.
